Canada Property Attracts Holiday Home Buyers

A rising number of British people are taking advantage of the credit crunch and buying holiday homes in Canada, says overseas property portal Property Abroad. The statement comes after a survey conducted by the portal into those enquiring about Canada property. Erin Walker, the firm's director of market trends research said:

"We are currently doing a lot of research into why people are buying in every country we cover. The research will be ongoing, because the purpose of it is to detect rising levels of investor activity in global property markets. Unfortunately we are unable to report rising investor activity in Canada's property market; because most people making enquiries into our Canadian properties are doing so with a view to buying a holiday home in the country."

It is little wonder, Canada is known for being one of the most peaceful and beautiful countries in the world, with some of the most breathtaking views of nature and wildlife that can be seen anywhere.

Property Abroad are listing some excellent property for sale in Canada, many of which would make excellent holiday homes.

One in particular "would make a dream holiday home for any family," according to Les Calvert. The log cabins on the Rouge River resort have something for everyone. A land-plot can be purchased for £22,500 on the resort, and the pre-designed cabins built at the buyer's discretion.

The cabins are therefore set in an acre of ground in the Laurentian Mountains, and with only the sounds of bird-song and the babbling brook-like Rouge River to break the peace & quiet. This makes it brilliant for those ready to take life at a much slower pace, but for those wanting to be active on their holidays, the Rouge River resort offers a whole host of activities.

The Rouge River, which runs through the resort for 100-miles has natural stocks of trout, including brook trout, brown trout, and, depending on the season, sea-trout. In winter ice-fishing can be enjoyed on the river. There is a 100-mile bicycle track running along the river bank, which becomes a skidoo trail in winter. And the forest that sweeps up the Laurentian Mountainside away from the bike track and the river is equally beautiful all year round.

On top of that the resort is a short-drive from Mt-Tremblant, where visitors can complement the cross-country trails of Rouge River with some of the world's finest alpine slopes. Montreal is also a short-drive away.
