Villas in Icmeler Named as Among Most Popular Turkish Properties

According To a new post on the Turkey blog of UK based Turkish realtor Spot Blue, villas in Icmeler are becoming some of the most popular properties in Turkey. The firm has put this down to the type of buyer that is currently active, in conjunction with the strengths of Icmeler, namely its peace and quiet. The post reads:

"Icmeler is one of the least developed regions in Turkey, and is famed for its peace and quiet. In fact it has become known as the quieter alternative to the rather more developed Marmaris.

"The type of tourists who seek this peace and quiet tend to be the more mature traveller, and or those travelling with their families. It just so happens that those two types of tourists tend to be the ones who can afford to buy a villa in their favourite holiday destination."

The firm then highlights a luxury 3 bedroom villa with gardens and a communal pool, just minutes from an Icmeler beach frontage and with sea-views priced at just £272k. This can clearly be seen as fantastic value for money.

However fantastic value for money, many of you will have noticed that it is slightly more than prices in other Turkish locales. According to Julian Walker, Spot Blue director property in Icmeler is slightly more expensive, because the lack of development in the area, which is not forecast to change, he said:

"While Icmeler may not be the fastest rising tourism destination in Turkey, Icmeler apartments and villas are very popular with private renters, which makes them popular with investors, as well as the lifestyle buyers seeking the seclusion, peace and quiet. The lack of development in Icmeler means demand is and likely always will outstrip supply, because to allow much more supply would be to cancel out the demand; ruin the exclusivity, and seclusion."

Spot Blue is currently marketing property in Turkey priced from as little as £25k.
