Overseas Property Activity Up: It's Time to Come Alive

I have been very very pessimistic about reports of recovery in the past, but now there are just too many positive signs for me to ignore. Economic indicators are all (or almost all) beginning to go in the right direction in the UK, the US, the EU and Asia, with -- as always -- some exceptions, i.e. Bulgaria.

Anyone left standing in the overseas property industry can breathe a sigh of relieve, you have made it. But now is not the time to rest on your laurels, sit back, or relax. Quite the opposite in fact, if you have cut everything back to a minimum and been treading water for the last 8 months, now is the time to wind things back up again.

The winter months are a great time for overseas property sales, as people look for an escape from the brutal British winter. So now is the time to really step up your marketing campaigns, and if you haven't already hire an SEO specialist, preferably an SEO copywriter with all round SEO experience who can sort out which keywords and phrases you should be targeting and help you get onto page 1 for those key-phrases.

The credit crunch has left a scar that will take some years to heal, and this will mainly affect overseas property investment in emerging markets. This can be seen already with the rising activity being centred on established markets, especially those that have seen significant price drops such as Spain. However, places like Turkey and Egypt, which have seen a steady amount of interest from overseas investors throughout the credit crunch will also see significant increase in activity now that the haze of international financial misery is starting to clear.

But the rapid onset of the crunch, and the fingers it burned will forever change online property sales; potential buyers are no longer taking agents' word for investment potential they are doing their own research, which I think is a good thing.

So get going, whatever your selling sell it hard, but sell it well, because if you don't present all the facts on your properties and developments that potential buyers are now looking for, they will simply find someone who does.
