Orlando Foreclosures Expo a Success - Round 2 in June

Following the success of the first Orlando foreclosures expo this month, its organisers have announced plans to hold a second event in June this year.

Phil Peachey, founder and organiser of the event said:

"Real estate industry professionals, people facing foreclosure and investors alike were at the event for different purposes," he explained, adding that the exhibitors who attended are now "excited" about the forthcoming expo after they realised the potential target audience that can be reached by attending."

Florida repossessions are currently invoking much interest in the property world, largely because of the bargains that are available.

In a press release about the expo last month, Les Calvert, director of portal, Property Abroad said:

"One of my contacts in Florida has just bought a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom villa near the Disney resort for just $64,000 (£41,000), absolutely incredible. You would be hard pressed to get a 4 bed 2 bath villa anywhere in the world for £41,000, to get one near the Disney Resort in Orlando for that price is an absolutely incredible bargain by anyone's standards. When you get a property like that for such a low price, if you wanted to and knew how to market Florida property, you could sell it within a couple of weeks for 50% or maybe even 100% more than you paid for it."

At first details were sketchy of the properties, and they were being bought in bundles largely on spec, but because of the publicity they have generated, Florida repossession properties are currently being marketed with substantial details, and some even with images.
