French Economy to Recover Q4 - Property in France Still Popular

A French statistical outlet has said it expects the French economy to come out of the recession by the final quarter of this year, on the back of inventory cuts ending, investment cuts slowing and low interest rates increasing consumer spending. The report did also say that unemployment would continue to rise throughout the year.

Meanwhile many people expect French property prices to continue to fall throughout the year also, including Christopher Walkey, a French property agent, he commented on my Facebook:

"France is only just seeing price drops as the market here has stalled (I deal in French property slaes), they need to decline by another 20-30% to make them attractive to expat buyers whom still are suffering from economic gloom in relation to pensions etc. If anyone can get their house sold in UK it would be a wise move if they are thinking of purchasing abroad, to rent whilst they seek to buy, there will be bargains to had!"

That said property in France remains very popular in terms of search volume on the biggest search engine. According to the keywords tool for my adwords account there are 6,600 monthly searches for property in France. This is one of the most searched terms related to property, and there are another 5,400 for property for sale in France.
