France Avoids Recession So Far, Property to Stay Popular
France's economy grew by 0.14% in the fourth quarter of last year, avoiding the recession predicted for it, the same recession that is currently devastating all the other developed countries in Europe.
The economists who predicted the recession are now scratching their heads, and wondering if France's economic measures will see it avoid recession altogether this year.
French property continues to be among the most popular with British lifestyle buyers and those from around the world.
If Sterling continues to strengthen against the Euro as it has in the last month or so, than property in France's premier regions, i.e. the Côte d'Azur will be awash with British buyers hunting for bargains -- just as London was with Eurozone buyers when the currency opposite happened.
