Conditions Become Increasingly Favourable for Buying Property in Turkey

If you are a lifestyle buyer with an eye on Turkey, now is the time to buy property in Turkey according to Spot Blue, the UK based Turkish property agent.

The company made the statements after commenting on the Turkish government's latest cut to the key interest rate, now 9% lower than it was last year, and the relative ease of obtaining a Turkish mortgage on completed properties.

They wrote on its Turkey blog:

"Now is most certainly a good time to buy Turkey property, for lifestyle buyers in particular, because they tend to favour property that is already completed, which is easiest to obtain a Turkish mortgage on.

"British lifestyle buyers are in a particularly favourable position vis-a-vis a Turkish property purchase, with Turkish property still almost 9% cheaper to British buyers than it was in April, because of changes in the exchange rate."

Spot Blue is one of the UK's most successful overseas property agents, and is a company that I have found to be very honest in its communications with the press, which makes their statements even more poignant.

Holidays to Turkey are becoming increasingly popular, even as tourism to Europe's giants like Spain and France suffers because of the strength of the Euro. As more people want to take holidays in Turkey, it is logical that there is greater underlying demand for Turkish holiday homes. This demand may well turn into increased sales as the conditions become more favourable to purchase Turkish property.
