American Property Growing in Popularity - Portal

American property has become increasingly popular since President Obama's election, according to portal The Move Channel, who named America number one in its monthly chart of most popular countries with visitors to the site.

The portal put America knocking Egypt off the top-spot down to a combination of Obama's election and overseas buyers keen to pick up a bargain in the distressed American property market. There is a sense that prices may start to rise because of the "Obama effect", and that may possibly be a factor in people deciding to invest in American property now.

One thing the portal failed to mention was the growing market for foreclosed property in America. The American real estate market is currently awash with foreclosure properties, and the properties are selling extremely well, particularly properties in Orlando and other popular locations. This may be because there is no foreclosed properties currently listed on the site.

Recently The Move Channel suggested that sales of foreclosed properties have been so rapid that they were generating a mini-boom in a depressed time. A recent expo event for foreclosed properties held this month was so successful that a second event has been scheduled for June.

The portal Property Abroad, which first ran the story of this month's Expo said they received quite a few enquiries from people in the UK and Europe about how to obtain tickets for the event. If the popularity of American property continues to grow, it is likely the UK contingent will be even bigger at the next event.
